Pages of ink bled into the Book,
What has passed, current and yet to come.
A trial of steps and the path to our Kingdom,
Though there is also strife to overcome.
There are sometimes only pieces understood,
Each time I read, I learn something new. For this Book I speak of has taught many scholars,
The Word of God is a gift for what is true.
Passages of witnesses and trials through time,
All of the words through parchment and quill. Verses written of God's work for you and I,
His guiding light to understand His will.
Though this book has stood through time,
More years than the history book you read.
If you are struggling to understand the word,
Prayers will plant even more seeds.
Close your eyes and give Him the time,
Ask for forgiveness rather than your want.
Lead through action with His wisdom given,
Rebuke the devil and rebuke his taunt.
Challenges during times passed are just as present,
Whether you've just begun or are hand-in-hand.
Just know that God will only let you stumble,
Your faults are but grains within the sand.
Do not dwell within shadows of doubts,
Before strength is built, we are weak.
Do not turn your back even during challenges,
He still cares for every one of His lost sheep.
For scripture will paint you the picture,
God can speak directly with reason, without rhyme.
Free will is still given to all that walk this earth,
Though judgement does come in time.
Live up to that potential of you that does exist,
Even when you cannot see it, know that it's true.
God's plan can make the impossible, possible,
All that is required is that Him you do pursue.
For I have stumbled within my path,
I have tripped, scuffed my chins and bled.
My spirit has taken on battles and wars,
Even in flesh, but I hold true to what was said.
It has been revealed that my path is true,
Blessings are lined within this walk of my life.
I still trip, I did stumble and falter to learn,
God had to give me another guide, my wife.
Sometimes people are chosen by you,
We look for people that fit what we want to see.
Know that God even knows when you need more help,
He knows what it takes to make me, me.
