Walk in Faith

Writer's picture: James BrownJames Brown

The best is yet to be.

While kind, it is full of hope.

Faith is a substance that fuels it,

Though trials sometimes seem like a rope.

Holding me back from what I can be,

Delaying the success or goodwill I can do.

All-along, the process is a part of sculpting,

The potter has His hands on you.

Books of James and Peter encourage us,

Trials and tribulation for Christians will ensue.

Just as Paul’s ministry charges all followers,

Rejoice in suffering with Christ, too!

Perfect works of patience being started,

Fleeing from sin as a sign of victory.

The battles have been fought, the war won,

God has purchased eternity for you and me!

Fear should only lead us when revering God,

Not when we are faced with adversity.

Those moments can show the real us,

Or better, God reveals Himself for you to see.

Knock on the door of chance with God,

Allow Him to show you what possible means.

Step out in faith to know God better,

It is God who gave you those dreams!

Chase them and lay them down at the cross,

Allow God to test them to see what is real.

Just as He cares for your happiness,

Your growth and closeness is counted as zeal.

How can we better seek Him?

What ways can we show Him we trust?

Live a life that points to Him,

God being first is a must.

Put others then above yourself,

It’s simple, yet it’s hard to do.

Treat others to the best of your ability,

God knows your heart better than you.

Work every minute to get closer to God,

Even if it’s simply a talk or two to start.

It’s never a question of God doing it,

It seems to always be if we do our part.

So, do it. Walk in faith.
