Find the Forest

Though only You and shadows see the tears that form,

Impressions of dampness may leave its trace.

I rejoice for Your presence within my life,

Even when I do not understand a problem's pace.

News of blaring heats that scorch the earth,

Yet Your peace creates a forest awaiting my family.

Even if wind does bring the trees to sway,

Your breath is the calm allowing us to be.

Seeking the solitude of Your voice,

Leading and guiding my steps towards You.

Reading thru Your word of promises kept,

Lives lived becoming testimonies, too.

Still speaking through Scripture of the Bible,

Proof He sent His Son to exemplify a path.

Treat others as neighbors and put God first,

The lifestyle is beyond just fear of wrath.

Though a large highway leads to hell,

Humble stairs take work to climb, seeking God.

Judgement is left to only the King of Kings,

Our judgement of others home to only sod.

Focus more on glorifying the Father.

Praise Jesus for His obedience to God's will.

Our selfish ways condemned us for separation from God,

Jesus' path gives forgiveness, fostering zeal.

Jesus' teachings and ministry created the way,

There is a gift available for you and me.

Strength is waiting to be called on from God,

From the Holy Spirit, or Ghost if your KJV.

Though He was seen ascending to the Heaven,

Jesus is close enough to hold your hand.

For Jesus does offer refuge to all that ask,

He is the Messiah, the Son of Man.
