Once stoney and covered by fallen boulders,
Allowing rubble to be steppingstones to You.
Deplete false hope that is not vested in Your promises.
Expand the hedges in our hearts to be renewed.
Clear sin and it's remanence from within us,
I pray, expand the hedges, allowing only Your will.
Expound on us Your wisdom that is boundless,
Write upon our heart Your protective seal.
Renew our mind to think of Your words swiftly,
Guarding our hopes that You placed in our dreams.
Scripture that sews promises to bridge our valleys,
Knowing it's the You in us that we esteem.
Sharpen our mind with Your clarity of judgement,
Discern the distraction from the messages sent.
Expand Your hedges of protection,
Evict the thoughts with ill-intent.
Guide our sight to see Your works first,
Ignoring the distractions that distort our view.
Work the finished version of us thru,
A promise to those that look to You.
Order our voice to speak the truth You whisper,
Allow us to see the testimonies of Your works.
Place peace upon words that weld swords,
Shield Your sheep from the evil that lurks.
Filter the sound that rests within our ear,
Removing the despair from our own voice.
Hearing Your promises spoken for Your children,
Soften hearts to make You, their choice.
