To what value do I exude from afar?
From this twinkling life I have lived that now sparkles.
As though I have been sitting in clouds,
Sparkling down onto the darkness of the world.
This cloud that I rest on is seen as a platform,
As though I have rocketed beyond my ability on my own.
Friends and family see me as though it is me,
Yet I merely stand firm on the earth pointing up.
Walking the path of highlighted arrows pointing the way,
As though my gift from God was built by tribulations of man.
Looking at me as an “outlier” from the norm when I am seen,
As though I am “special” due to a parental inheritance.
As though you know the plan of a man on earth,
Look beyond your envy of what you think I am responsible for.
Place your focus on the above creations that I could not conceive,
The success you see from me is but a question of your faith.
I already know you will not accept that fact,
As though your excuse for not praying is your blanket.
This blanket that you hold close to give yourself comfort,
When my success is only due to God’s nod which irrigates my life.
This breathe of success that is poured over me and my family,
When realized can bring tears pouring on those from the love seen.
The grace of the Lord that echoes beyond even my own understanding,
Though even this promise has the best warranty.
There is no need to see me as anything more than a vessel.
See me as nothing more than a man with a known promise.
See me only as I was a child with a promise of gifts.
See beyond me to the grace that is present from God.
If you genuinely want and desire the success of my life,
Take yourself to a quiet place and look beyond yourself.
Close your eyes and pray to the true source of success,
That will pour over your life with strife to prove your faith.
Answers aren’t given, nor are they realized until after,
The true struggle required to learn what is needed to be kept.
This promise that goes both ways, between you and God.
This promise of love from Him, beyond this earth, materials will be forgotten.
