Answer the Call

Waters rock and toss the boat,

Lightning cracks the silent sky to speak.

Though the world seems led by the brave,

A promise says it is inherited by meek.

As headlines gleam of devastation and disrepair,

Many promises exist needing only the request.

Will your faith be challenged into a testimony,

Does your study prepare you for the test?

Each moment that is allotted with fellowship,

Another awaits from the accuser to withstand.

Yet with each promise that God gives us to hold,

We begin to replace anxious with understand.

Understanding doesn't mean you're all knowing,

In fact, belief is the main objective here.

Nor does this life equate to the promised eternal,

While judgement passes, we'll be gone a year.

While that time may see like 1,000 to many,

Others called will be celebrating, joyful and alive!

Forever more with our Savoir and Priest,

Our long-awaited deliverer had arrived!

No more worries, no more trials to overcome,

For the promise has been given and received.

One that heard of grace and mercy extended,

A hand to pull you out of drowning, indeed.

In hopes of your heart hearing the call,

Seek the Shepherd who called the sick.

Not from mortal wounds or disease,

But between sin and righteousness is the pick.

Choose kindly and with wisdom,

Though this life's deceptions validate some.

Only one faith offers God's grace and mercy,

That path is Shepherded by the Son.

Just as you hear it whispering to you,

The voice will be known by those who seek.

Knock and it shall be opened, the door,

God has turned the other cheek.

I pray that you accept God's grace that has been offered. It's a way home that only requires your love and acceptance. Reach out to God in hopes of being counted as a believer in His love for you. Though the world continues to grow rapidly towards distraction, God's grace and mercy is awaiting your request. Accept His offer to you. For where our strength fails, God can use it to show His presence to you. Seek Him.
