A Tear From Heaven

Look to the mountain on each side of you,

This sin that, though not seen, can be felt.

The grimy flesh that clouds my mind,

Praise to the lord for this help.

I sat as I normally do to start the day,

I said a prayer after getting up and walking by.

I asked for forgiveness for my sins,

I begged God for the answers of “Why?”

Trials have come my way, as I’m sure you,

They have speared my fears of the unknown.

Though my temptations maybe exhausting,

In my soul, mercy and grace has been sown.

I would like to tell you about a friend of mine,

He’s a friend that you may even know well.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

God’s son that took the keys, conquering Hell.

Speak his name to see demons tremble,

Cry out his name when no help is near.

For only with your back turning to God,

Will bring Heaven one more tear.

Lastly, I say to you stern,

For the love of God, has also wrath,

Bend the knee and bow your head,

Ask that forgiveness be your path.

Greetings all, glad to be part of the conversation. As for the poem, be kind to yourself and as forgiving of yourself as our Lord is of you.
