A Pilgrim's Sanctuary

While the nails, wood and bricks hold together,

Buildings that shelter pews, alters and shouts of rejoice.

Windows of glass that stain the light bleeding thru,

Each soul repenting to God with freedom of choice.

Revival and resurrection to any that seek it,

Families of all backgrounds reborn again.

Though blindness was a restriction to hope,

Foundational joy and hope are found in Him.

Forgive yourself for mistakes that make you perfect,

Allow your flaws of blemish to become sparkles of unique.

God's purpose for your life is just as specific,

Even as the Bible promises a purpose to the meek.

Peradventure, let me challenge your thinking,

For each label you identify with, does a promise exist?

God placed those passions and dreams for a reason,

Walking in faith requires action to persist.

Each approach requires committed effort,

Whether good or bad fruits determine your way.

Yet if today is the day we are given to honor God,

Let this building be a place to pray.

Each piece of the puzzle that continues to be revealed,

Count it as a confirmation, whether painful or joyful to me.

Bless those to experience your presence here,

For servants are called followers of He.

Though "He", there are three to revere.

To ensure the confirmation is clear,

Thru the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Salvation is found and achieved, not from here.
